Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between JP Gill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitry Saadiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, JP Gill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dmitry Saadiev! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gill wants to clinch but Saadiev slips to the side and Saadiev cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Gill wants to clinch. JP Gill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gill takes a swing at Saadiev's ribcage but misses. Gill tries to close the distance and clinch but Saadiev swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Gill looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Gill clinches up against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gill. Saadiev's coach down at Skylab Vegas was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Saadiev's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Gill has a couple of punches blocked by Saadiev.
Gill misses with a body punch.
Saadiev breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Gill uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Saadiev.

That's one minute gone in the round. Saadiev showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gill.
Gill rushes Saadiev and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Gill is pushing Saadiev up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Saadiev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gill throws a body punch but Saadiev moves out of range. Gill wants to clinch but Saadiev slips to the side and Saadiev comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Gill stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Saadiev is on him like rabid pit bull! Gill slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dmitry Saadiev! Dmitry Saadiev decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little. In defeat, JP Gill stepped up to the mic, saying 'Clearly, I've got some things to work on. Thanks to everyone who's supported me thus far.'.
