Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Faaloua! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John MacTavish! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacTavish cracks Faaloua with an open hand slap.
It looks like James Faaloua has been cut. Faaloua darts in and clinches MacTavish up against the cage. Faaloua connects with a knee to the head.
Faaloua connects with a nasty looking knee right to MacTavish's face.
It looks like John MacTavish has been cut. Faaloua pressing his opponent against the cage. MacTavish takes an elbow to the temple. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! MacTavish wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Faaloua has him pressed against the cage. MacTavish looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. MacTavish has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Faaloua after a bit of a struggle. Faaloua lands an elbow just above MacTavish 's eye. MacTavish wants to break free but Faaloua has control.
Faaloua tries to land a knee to the head but MacTavish blocks with his arms.
Faaloua will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning MacTavish up against the cage. Faaloua drops MacTavish with a big knee straight up the middle! MacTavish is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
MacTavish is rocked!
That has opened up John MacTavish's cut even more. MacTavish rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Faaloua moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Faaloua seems to be stalking MacTavish here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! MacTavish drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
