Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bloodlet Dunne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons has chosen country grammer as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Manny Simmons told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simmons shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dunne is trying to defend but Simmons finishes it well and ends up in half guard. He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Simmons, into his guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Simmons manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Dunne is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Simmons pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Simmons has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Dunne regains guard immediately. Dunne seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Simmons wants to get up but he can't break Dunne's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Simmons avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Simmons decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dunne, up you get! Some wild striking there from Simmons.

Manny Simmons showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Simmons knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Simmons got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dunne has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Simmons has managed to get both his arms back between Dunne's legs - danger averted.

Dunne looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dunne! Dunne wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Simmons, who protects the arm well. Dunne thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dunne tries to advance to mount but can't. Dunne tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dunne goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Simmons has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dunne but great work by Simmons. Simmons tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Simmons has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dunne sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Manny Simmons is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
