Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Kristoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Van Der Wal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim Van Der Wal told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Der Wal avoids a punch combination nicely.
Van Der Wal slaps away a takedown attempt from Kristoff, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Van Der Wal is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Van Der Wal closes the distance and clinches.
Van Der Wal fails to pull guard.
Van Der Wal is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Kristoff breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Van Der Wal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kristoff paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kristoff dives in and grabs Van Der Wal's left leg, looking for a takedown. Van Der Wal pushes down on Kristoff's head and hops out.
Kristoff tries a head kick but it misses.
Kristoff shoots in looking for a takedown but Van Der Wal manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kristoff's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacques Kristoff. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kristoff has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Van Der Wal to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kristoff is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Van Der Wal pulls down on the head and he's put Kristoff to sleep! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Tim Van Der Wal thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
