Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tompa Jura Juricic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tompa Jura Juricic looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzalez fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Juricic gets a clinch. Gonzalez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Juricic bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Gonzalez is pushing Juricic's head away, looking to escape. Juricic manages to hold on to the position though. Gonzalez gets back to half guard. Gonzalez preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Gonzalez wants to get back to full guard. Gonzalez is doing well to control the position and prevent Juricic from advancing to side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzalez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Juricic is working away from the top position though. Gonzalez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Juricic's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Juricic's back! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Gonzalez is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Juricic. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Good control from Gonzalez. Juricic is breathing heavily. Gonzalez has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Juricic. Juricic tries to escape but Gonzalez has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Gonzalez controls the position. Gonzalez is looking for a rear naked choke here but Juricic reverses the position brilliantly into Gonzalez's guard!
Juricic might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Gonzalez working for a triangle but Juricic defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Juricic drops back looking for a leg! Gonzalez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gonzalez manages to kick Juricic off! Juricic jumps back into Gonzalez's guard. Gonzalez scores with a short punch from the bottom. Gonzalez manages to escape and get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gonzalez tries to clinch but Juricic is having none of it. Juricic throws a lazy head kick and Gonzalez counters with a takedown into side control. Gonzalez has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Gonzalez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gonzalez showed some decent athleticism there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Juricic kicks off Gonzalez and gets to his feet. Gonzalez tries to clinch and Juricic counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Gonzalez wants to stall.
Juricic prevents Gonzalez from breaking the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gonzalez is trying to break free. Gonzalez is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Juricic is keeping busy. Juricic looking for a takedown. Gonzalez pulls guard. Juricic takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Juricic shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gonzalez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Juricic's guard now. Gonzalez decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Juricic with a poor takedown and Gonzalez counters with a single leg into guard. Juricic didn't expect that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Gonzalez is stalling in the full guard. Gonzalez trying to control but Juricic is working from the bottom. Juricic pushes Gonzalez off and scrambles back to his feet.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Juricic doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gonzalez can do anything to dispel that myth. Gonzalez is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Gonzalez tries for a takedown. No joy.

Gonzalez lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Juricic! Gonzalez scoring with strikes but Juricic is staying in there. Gonzalez controlling his opponent. Tompa Jura Juricic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Juricic is looking to work some ground and pound but Gonzalez has wrist control.
