Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Mackintosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Funk McTavish!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mackintosh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McTavish tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McTavish showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mackintosh.
Mackintosh tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mackintosh swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McTavish counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
McTavish avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McTavish won't allow Mackintosh to sweep him here.
Mackintosh is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mackintosh really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mackintosh is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but McTavish frees his head nicely. Oh but Mackintosh has switched to an armbar! McTavish is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
