Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ismael Eloi!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eloi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Serna circles away.
Eloi shoots in and drives through. Serna sprawls well.
A head kick misses from Serna.
Serna swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Serna looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Eloi kicks off Serna and gets to his feet.
Serna avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Serna decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Eloi's guard.
Javier Serna has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ismael Eloi.

Serna wants to pass the guard but Eloi is keeping the position.

Eloi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Serna closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Eloi did well to prevent Serna getting side control.

Serna frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Serna could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Serna lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
It looks like Ismael Eloi has been cut.
Eloi is trying to escape the mount.
Serna in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Whack. That's a big, big shot from Serna! Eloi is out cold! This one is all over!
