Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Russ Ramford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dillian Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dillian Bone will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Russ Ramford! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dillian Bone! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramford instigates a clinch. Bone misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ramford.
Bone wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ramford has him pressed against the cage. Bone prevents a body shot from Ramford. Ramford is working for takedown but Bone is calmly controlling the position for now. Bone wants to break free but Ramford has control.
Bone throws a head punch that misses. I was talking to Ramford's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Bone looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A body shot lands from Bone.
Bone's coach down at Red Square Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bone's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. A short uppercut from Ramford. Bone lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Bone unloads a knee to the mid-section. Ramford lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Ramford working aggressively here.
Bone gets underhooks to prevent Ramford's takedown attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ramford can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Russ Ramford. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bone cracks Ramford with a nice body shot. Ramford wants to stall.
Ramford turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Ramford manages to end up in side control. Bone is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ramford is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramford throws an elbow but Bone slips to the side and avoids it well. Bone is letting Ramford control him for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bone wants to get back to his feet. Bone avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Ramford. Ramford staying calm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramford working the ground and pound. Ramford misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Bone is not content to let Ramford control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bone trying to remain calm as Ramford controls from the top position. Ramford lands some shots froms side control. Ramford controls the position from side control. Ramford throws an elbow but Bone slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Ramford seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Ramford controls the position from side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Russ Ramford dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bone wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ramford has him pressed against the cage. Bone lands an elbow that stopped Ramford in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Russ Ramford has been cut. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Bone as Ramford tries to tie him up. Bone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bone leaves Ramford with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick misses from Bone. Bone throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ramford. Bone lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Ramford moves into range and clinches up with Bone. Ramford is trying to trip Bone. He has hold of a leg but Bone is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ramford persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Ramford slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Russ Ramford just wasn't active enough. Bone missing with a left hand there. Ramford was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Bone misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bone tries a head kick but it misses.

Ramford's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Ramford changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bone fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Ramford trying to control from half guard but Bone is working away. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Russ Ramford wasn't doing enough on the ground. Ramford misses with a series of wild punches.
Ramford tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bone sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ramford somewhat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bone lands with a thumping leg kick.

Ramford shoots in for a takedown but Bone shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A head kick misses from Bone. Ramford takes a kick to the side of the head. Bone throws a wild combination but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Russ Ramford dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Russ Ramford's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Bone feints and then cracks Ramford's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ramford down. Bone scores with a hook to the body. Ramford takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bone.
Bone tries to keep at a distance but Ramford has taken the fight into the clinch. Ramford is looking to take this one to the mat. Bone misses with some punches.

Ramford turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Ramford sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bone is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bone wants to get back to his feet but Ramford drags him back down. A lull in the action here as Ramford stalls from top position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. You can see the frustration on Bone's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bone is not content to let Ramford control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bone uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ramford has time to react.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. Ramford works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Ramford sitting in guard here, content to control. Ramford in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ramford is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Russ Ramford has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Bone defending well as Ramford loads up on a big left hand.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Russ Ramford. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ramford, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
