Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Romano Redz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocco Marchegiano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocco Marchegiano has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Romano Redz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rocco Marchegiano! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marchegiano throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Redz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Redz. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Redz controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Redz has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Redz looking to pass the guard. Redz wants to control from the top but Marchegiano keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Romano Redz. Redz scores with a jab. Marchegiano acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Marchegiano throws a looping overhand right but Redz ducks down to avoid it. Redz keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Marchegiano.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marchegiano looks to throw the jab but Redz is out of range. Marchegiano gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Redz sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Marchegiano's guard. Marchegiano tries to roll over but Redz keeps him under control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Marchegiano can do anything to dispel that myth. Redz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Redz tries to pass to full mount but Marchegiano defends it. Redz is keen to just control but Marchegiano is a slippery customer. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Redz wants to pass the guard but Marchegiano is defending well. Redz is working hard here to advance position. Redz wants to take a breather but Marchegiano is having none of it. Redz is working for a submission of some sort.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Redz is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Marchegiano still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Marchegiano has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Redz is trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marchegiano wants to stand but Redz is controlling his arm. Redz regains half guard. Marchegiano tries to stand but his arm is trapped. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Redz tries to get to full guard but Marchegiano has control of the leg. Marchegiano wants to control but Redz is keeping him busy. Redz moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Redz has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Marchegiano should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Redz has tightened it up now! Marchegiano should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
