Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Duncan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nobero Shimasaki!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shimasaki clinches up with Duncan and pushes him back against the cage.

Shimasaki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Duncan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shimasaki to the mat! Shimasaki manages to get full guard.
Shimasaki utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Shimasaki being controlled here, momentarily.
Shimasaki looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Shimasaki wants to stand up but Duncan is controlling him.
Duncan wants to control from the top but Shimasaki keeps moving.
Duncan with a flurry of punches that miss.
Duncan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Duncan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duncan lands a couple of digs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Duncan is looking to work some ground and pound but Shimasaki has wrist control.
Shimasaki lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Duncan!
Duncan is squirming around, avoiding Shimasaki's attempts to control the action.
Duncan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Duncan tries to get out of the position.
Duncan throwing hammer fists to the chest of Shimasaki. What's that going to do exactly?
Duncan wants to try and get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Duncan gets back to half guard.
Duncan is trying to maintain the position but Shimasaki is very close to passing his half guard.
Duncan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Shimasaki tries to stand and escape but Duncan is controlling the position.
Duncan wants to get back to full guard.
Duncan scores with a few weak punches.
The fighters are battling for position here. Duncan manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Shimasaki wants to stand but Duncan is controlling his posture from full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Duncan is trying to keep Shimasaki in close.
Shimasaki trying to stand up but can't free himself from Duncan's guard.
Duncan trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Duncan has Shimasaki pulled in close to control his posture.
Duncan looking for a sweep. Not yet Duncan, not yet.
Duncan is trying to keep Shimasaki in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Eddie Duncan just wasn't active enough.
Duncan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Duncan shoots in for a takedown but Shimasaki shows good takedown defense.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Duncan tries to clinch there but Shimasaki circles away.
Duncan dives in and grabs Shimasaki's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shimasaki pushes down on Duncan's head and hops out.
Duncan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eddie Duncan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Duncan fails with the takedown.
Shimasaki defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Duncan.
Shimasaki is looking to clinch.
Duncan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Shimasaki wants to clinch up but Duncan keeps it at a distance.
Nice sprawl there from Duncan as Shimasaki shoots in.
Duncan is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Shimasaki misses with a takedown attempt - Duncan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Duncan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shimasaki sprawls well initially but Duncan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Shimasaki is trying to stand.
Duncan throwing shots but Shimasaki is blocking nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Duncan working over Shimasaki with some ground and pound. Shimasaki looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Duncan is working for a kimura but Shimasaki is defending it quite comfortably.
Duncan is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Duncan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Duncan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Duncan is trying to control the action in half guard but Shimasaki is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eddie Duncan dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Shimasaki throws the left hand but Duncan avoids the punch easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shimasaki looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Duncan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Shimasaki's guard.
Shimasaki is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Duncan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Eddie Duncan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Duncan postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Shimasaki covers up, he's hurt! Duncan keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Duncan and the ref steps in to end the fight! Duncan can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eddie Duncan!
Eddie Duncan took to the microphone after his victory and thanked his sponsors, GREEN!160 for their support in the buildup to the fight.
