0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chinchin Chin! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Chin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wilcox, who protects the arm well. Wilcox seems a little lost for a moment, as Chin dominates the positioning. Wilcox knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chin on the ground. Chin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wilcox is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chin sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Wilcox is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Chin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wilcox has escaped the position, nice work there. Chin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wilcox is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Chin working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Chin is trying to ground and pound but Wilcox uses the momentary lack of control by Chin to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilcox is defending against the submission attempts here by Chin.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chin passes the guard and advances to mount! Wilcox takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Chin looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chin sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Chin landing strikes, looking to finish! Chin throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Wilcox has his hands clasped together but Chin breaks the hold and Wilcox is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Chin!
