The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Templar connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Barnes momentarily.
It looks like Nate Barnes has been cut.
Templar lands a nice shot to the body.
Barnes slaps away a takedown attempt from Templar, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Barnes takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A slow jab from Barnes misses its intended target.
Templar throws an off balance right hand
and Barnes counters by clinching up.
Templar scores with a shoulder strike.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Templar is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Templar pulls guard.
Barnes trying to control the position from guard on top but Templar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Barnes tries to free his leg and advance position but Templar is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Templar is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Barnes has his hands clasped together but Templar extends and breaks Barnes's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Templar.
