Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Marsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Woima Karhu!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsh uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Karhu.
Karhu throws a wild body kick that Marsh sees coming a mile off.
A nice inside leg kick there by Karhu. That's going to slow Marsh down.
Karhu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Karhu looks to throw the jab but Marsh is out of range.
Karhu throws a sloppy head kick and Marsh moves out of range easily.
Marsh misses with a lunging right hand
and Karhu counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Marsh avoids the head kick by Karhu.

and Marsh counters with a single leg into guard. Karhu didn't expect that.
Marsh has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Marsh throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Karhu works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Karhu throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Marsh.

Karhu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marsh manages to avoid it.
Marsh takes one on the chin but seems OK.

A close round but Woima Karhu will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Randy Marsh's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Marsh crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Karhu - the referee stops the clock and Marsh gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Karhu. Marsh manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Karhu looks to score with a jab to the body but Marsh is just out of range.
Karhu takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Marsh fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Woima Karhu seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Marsh counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Karhu looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Karhu has control of Marsh's left arm, preventing Marsh from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marsh is stalling here. Karhu is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Marsh seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Karhu has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
