Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Luis Chalas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noel Severino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chalas kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Chubby Jag-U.O.E.N.O. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Luis Chalas! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Noel Severino! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Severino scores with the left hand. Chalas knows he should have avoided that one. Severino will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chalas misses with a takedown attempt - Severino sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Severino fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chalas manages to avoid it. Chalas rushes Severino and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Chalas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Chalas lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Severino. Severino lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Severino has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Severino is trying to break free. Severino can't find room to land a body shot as Chalas controls the action.
Chalas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chalas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Severino pinned against the cage. Severino gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chalas misses with a takedown attempt - Severino sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luis Chalas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chalas tries to clinch but Severino moves out of range. Nice takedown defense from Severino. No joy for Chalas on that attempt. Severino tries to clinch up but Chalas circles away and keeps his distance. Severino tries to clinch but Chalas is having none of it. Chalas darts in looking for a takedown but Severino gets double underhooks and turns Chalas into the cage. Chalas lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Severino backwards. Chalas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Severino connects with the punch. Chalas is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Chalas drives through with a takedown into Severino's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chalas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Severino swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Severino has momentary wrist control but Chalas slips an elbow through the middle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Severino preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Chalas throwing strikes from guard but Severino blocks nicely. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chalas missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Chalas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Chalas stopping the sweep attempt from Severino. Chalas avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Severino looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Chalas puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Chalas is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Chalas wants to work for an arm triangle but Severino is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Severino looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Severino is refusing to be controlled, as Chalas sits in half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Chalas is looking for a kimura here.
Severino is defending against the submission attempts here by Chalas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Severino has a hand on Chalas's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Chalas takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Severino is squirming around, avoiding Chalas's attempts to control the action. Chalas landing strikes from the mount and Severino is in trouble! Severino really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Chalas takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chalas lands a big elbow. This has been an exciting period of action! Chalas landing strikes, looking to finish! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luis Chalas dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Severino misses with a body shot.
Severino throws a half hearted mid kick. Severino lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Chalas at a distance.
Chalas is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Severino's half guard. Severino is refusing to be controlled, as Chalas sits in half guard. Chalas stops Severino from getting back to his feet.
Severino has hold of Chalas's hands but Chalas slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Chalas moves into full mount! Severino won't be happy about that! Chalas prevents Severino from getting the reversal. Chalas lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Severino is trying to escape the mount.
Chalas swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Luis Chalas! Luis Chalas retains his bantamweight title! An out of breath and clearly excited Luis Chalas thanked Hellraiser FightGear for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
