Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steven Lewis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 24 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Castle! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lewis was well out of range. Poor timing from Castle. Castle gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Castle jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lewis walks away with a smile on his face. Castle gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Lewis slips a straight right by Castle. Castle takes a swing at Lewis's ribcage but misses. Castle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lewis manages to avoid it. Frank Castle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A punch combination from Castle misses. Lewis gets caught flat footed, as Castle shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Castle decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Castle clinches up with Lewis and pushes him back against the cage. Castle tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lewis just stands there and leans against the cage. Lewis wants the takedown. Castle is fighting it off but Lewis persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Castle's guard against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis distracts Castle with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Lewis throwing strikes but missing. Castle uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Castle scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Castle stands up and we're back to a striking position. Castle shoots for a double leg takedown but Lewis sprawls well. He's pushed Castle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Steven Lewis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Castle. Castle throws a hook to the side of Lewis's head but Lewis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Castle misses with a takedown attempt - Lewis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Castle shoots in and bounces Lewis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Castle stands up and waves to Lewis to follow him. Castle throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Lewis avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Castle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lewis avoids it really well and circles away. Castle gets the takedown into side control. Castle decides to stand back up. Castle has a takedown stuffed.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castle misses with a wild body shot. Castle drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Lewis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Castle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lewis has a closed guard, preventing Castle from standing up. Castle gets to his feet - Lewis follows without any prompting. Castle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lewis manages to avoid it. Castle shoots in and bounces Lewis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Castle gets to his feet - Lewis follows without any prompting. Castle is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Lewis rather than just go for the knockout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Castle shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lewis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Lewis is working an open guard so Castle takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Lewis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Castle. Lewis dodges the punch combination from Castle.
Castle misses with a takedown and Lewis counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lewis. Castle fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lewis has hold of one of Castle's legs. Castle is fighting the takedown attempt but Lewis gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Lewis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Castle avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lewis moves out of range of the strikes. A decent looking cross lands there for Castle. Castle dives in and scores a takedown into Lewis's guard. Lewis isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Castle stacks Lewis on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Castle! Lewis is looking for a sweep. Castle stands up. Castle swings for the body but Lewis moves out of range.
Castle darts in and clinches Lewis up against the cage. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Lewis is looking for a takedown.

Castle is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Lewis presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Castle tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lewis just stands there and leans against the cage. Castle is trying to pull guard but Lewis has him pressed against the cage. Castle trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lewis's guard. Castle decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Lewis ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Steven Lewis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Castle goes for a double leg but Lewis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lewis continues to drive forward. Castle tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Castle is pressed up against the cage. Lewis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Castle down to the mat. Castle avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. We've been told by Lewis's head coaches at SPARTAN! (16 elite coaches) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Castle misses with a few strikes there.
Lewis keeps the fight on the outside. A looping hook to the body misses from Castle. Lewis does a little dance to reset his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lewis stuffs the takedown attempt from Castle. Castle gets slowly back to his feet. Castle loads up on a big right hand but Lewis slips the punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Castle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Steven Lewis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Frank Castle is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. And that's the end of the fight! Frank Castle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Castle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
