Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nebojsa Lopez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez shoots in but no luck this time.
Lopez instigates a clinch.
Neri goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lopez prevents it.
Neri tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Neri looks to throw an elbow but misses.
I was talking to Lopez's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Lopez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lopez swats away the attempt to clinch by Neri.
Neri doesn't manage to clinch there - Lopez circles away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Lopez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lopez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Lopez tries to move to mount but Neri blocks the move with his legs.
Neri is trying to get back to half guard.
Neri is not content to let Lopez control the position.
Lopez lands a decent elbow from side control.

Lopez decides to stand back up. Lopez steps back and let's Neri get back to his feet.
Neri is looking to clinch but Lopez is avoiding it.
Neri throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lopez sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Neri will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Neri moves in looking to clinch but Lopez pushes him off.
Nice sprawl there from Lopez as Neri shoots in.
Lopez throws a sloppy head kick and Neri moves out of range easily.
Lopez shoots in looking for a takedown but Neri manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lopez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lopez jabs Neri to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Lopez wants to clinch up but Neri keeps it at a distance.
Neri lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Lopez moves into range and clinches up with Neri.
Lopez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lopez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Neri paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Neri looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Neri tries to clinch up but Lopez circles away and keeps his distance.
Neri throws a leg kick but Lopez sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Lopez lands with an uppercut that bounces Neri off the cage and back into range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lopez lands a body shot.
Neri has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lopez finds it's way round the side to connect with Neri's head.
Lopez swings for the body but Neri moves out of range.
Lopez blocks a jab.
Neri tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lopez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Neri tries to score with a low kick but Lopez moves his leg out of the way.
Neri is looking to score with low kicks.
Neri tries to clinch up but Lopez circles away and keeps his distance.
Lopez looks to land a body kick but Neri moved away.
Neri ducks under a wild hook from Lopez.
Neri circles away from the clinch attempt.
Neri throws a leg kick but Lopez checks it.
Lopez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Neri looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Lopez is looking to clinch.

Lopez is looking to clinch but Neri is avoiding it.
Lopez instigates a clinch.
Neri throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Lopez blocks it with crossed arms.
Neri creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lopez's defenses.
Lopez has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Neri regains guard immediately.
Lopez working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Neri is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lopez trying to control but Neri is working from the bottom.
Neri trying to keep a closed guard but Lopez is proving a slippery customer.
Lopez would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Lopez stands up over Neri, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Neri looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Lopez puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Lopez is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Neri has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lopez wants to take a breather but Neri is having none of it.
Neri is trying to control but can't.
Lopez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lopez is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lopez has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Neri defend it? Lopez steps over the head and cranks it - Neri is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Lopez!
