Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Avenger Of Steel Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peyton Hillis!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Steel Penn.
Steel Penn defending well as Hillis loads up on a big left hand.
Steel Penn throws an off balance right hand
and Hillis counters with a straight right hand.


It looks like Avenger Of Steel Penn has been cut.
Steel Penn has been working on his boxing with his coaches at gods of the cage sp in the buildup to the fight.
Steel Penn misses with a hook. Hillis ducked under it nicely.
Hillis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hillis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Steel Penn sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hillis throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hillis darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Steel Penn misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice straight punches there by Steel Penn. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Steel Penn.
Hillis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Steel Penn's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hillis connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Steel Penn scrambles back to his feet.

Hillis lands a big right hand that sends Steel Penn crashing to the mat! Hillis stays standing though and waves Steel Penn back to his feet!
Hillis moves out of range as Steel Penn strikes.
Hillis swings widly with a right hand
and Steel Penn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Steel Penn cracks Hillis with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.


It looks like Peyton Hillis has been cut.
Steel Penn bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Hillis cracks Steel Penn with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Steel Penn looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hillis finish him?
Hillis fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Steel Penn to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Steel Penn looks to clinch but Hillis throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Steel Penn taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Peyton Hillis!
During a confident post fight interview, Peyton Hillis thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
