Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Kitano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Franck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kitano comes to the cage accompanied by Zeni Geva: Slam King . Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kenji Kitano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joseph Franck! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franck avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kitano scores with a sloppy right hand. Franck should have avoided that one. Franck looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Franck swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kitano lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Franck circles away quickly and effectively. Franck lands a two punch combo.
Kitano misses with a hook to the body
and Franck cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Franck lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kitano tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Franck paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kitano cracks Franck with a right hand to the side of the head. Franck lands a jab to Kitano's midsection. Kenji Kitano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kitano clinches with his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kitano stalling in the clinch but Franck improves position. Kitano lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Kitano lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Franck backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Franck is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kitano is defending well. Franck is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Kitano softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
It looks like Joseph Franck has been cut. The referee is keeping an eye on Kitano - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Kitano lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Franck backwards. A quick uppercut on the inside from Kitano. Franck blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Kitano scores with a shoulder strike. Franck has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kitano is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Kenji Kitano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Franck. Kitano lands a damaging elbow. Kitano cracks Franck with a nice body shot. Franck looks winded! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kitano lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Franck backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Franck is trying to drag Kitano to the mat but Kitano just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Kitano lands with a left to the head. Kitano scores a nice knee to the body.
Kitano creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Franck's defenses. Kitano controlling the action here for a moment.
Kitano is working Franck over against the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from Kitano. Kitano lands a hook that snaps the head of Franck backwards. Kitano lands with a right to the head.
Franck is rocked!
That has opened up Joseph Franck's cut even more. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kitano. Franck is still on wobbly legs! Can Kitano finish him? Kitano creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Franck with a big uppercut! Franck tries to clinch up but Kitano pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Franck to the mat! Franck covers up and Kitano unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kenji Kitano! An out of breath Kenji Kitano thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
