Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Duke Richard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 15 - 1, fighting out of London, Raymond Chow! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Phil Schofield and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chow dips to his left and cracks Richard with an uppercut! Chow fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Richard to the ground. Chow is now in Richard's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Richard has his foot on Chow's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chow works his way back into a safe position though. Chow postures up.
Richard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Richard looking for a sweep. Not yet Richard, not yet. Chow wants to control from the top but Richard keeps moving. Richard has his foot on Chow's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chow works his way back into a safe position though. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chow accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Chow is stalling in the full guard. Chow trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Richard looking for a guillotine here but Chow defends easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Richard is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Chow is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chow wants to control from the top but Richard keeps moving. Richard avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Chow passes easily into side control. Nice work. Richard is trying to control Chow's posture but Chow avoids it. Richard manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Chow throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Richard wants to control but Chow is keeping busy and won't allow it. Chow missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Chow lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chow is looking to advance position but Richard won't allow it. Chow prevents Richard from improving his position. Chow trying to control from half guard but Richard is working away. Richard looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Chow drops an elbow to the side of Richard's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Richard looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Richard tries to get to full guard but Chow has control of the leg. Chow looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Richard with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Richard has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Chow is on him like a limpet, forcing Richard back against the cage. Chow jumps into guard, dragging Richard to the mat.
Richard is looking to pass into half guard but Chow pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Chow is in guard. Richard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chow can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Chow scoring with punches to the head and body. Richard looking for subs off his back but Chow has passed one foot through into half guard.
Chow is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Richard is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chow pulls his head out easily. Chow missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Richard looks like he's trying to stand up.
Richard is in trouble now - Chow has advanced to mount! Chow scoring with strikes but Richard is staying in there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chow pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Chow has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Richard's face.

A punch lands to the side of Richard 's head but he takes it in his stride. Raymond Chow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chow dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Richard on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Chow just misses with a punch to the body.

It looks like Duke Richard has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Richard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chow.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Richard shoots in and gets a takedown into Chow's guard. Raymond Chow has got the better of the ground game so far. Chow looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Chow has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Richard can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Richard drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chow looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chow looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chow! Richard struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chow just content to control the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Richard is trying to improve his position. Chow working away. Richard gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Richard is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Chow has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Richard is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Richard is looking to improve his position but Chow isn't that keen on the idea. Chow trying to control but he's not successful this time. Richard tries to hold on but Chow postures up. Raymond Chow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Duke Richard's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Richard takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Richard defending well as Chow loads up on a big left hand. Richard shoots for a double leg takedown but Chow sprawls well. He's pushed Richard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Chow lands with a nice body punch. Richard shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Oh Richard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Chow bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chow gets to mount! Richard was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chow scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Richard?
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Chow goes for an armbar but Richard turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Richard. Richard avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chow controls Richard momentarily but Richard frees himself. Richard seems to have got his legs back now. Richard trying to move into half guard but instead Chow has managed to sweep! Chow postures up in Richard's guard and throws a big left but Richard blocks it. That's two minutes gone in the round. Chow missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Chow has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Chow is working Richard over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Richard is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chow is controlling him. Richard working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Chow has passed into half guard!

And that's the end of the fight! Raymond Chow comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Chow has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
