Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rocky Balboa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Winnie Mandela! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balboa closes the distance and clinches up with Mandela, looking for a takedown. Balboa pushes Mandela against the cage but Mandela circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Balboa looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Balboa shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mandela as he avoids it easily. Mandela shoots in but no luck this time. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mandela is defended easily by Balboa. Mandela moves in looking to clinch but Balboa pushes him off. Balboa jabs at Mandela's body. Balboa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rocky Balboa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mandela throws a jab but it's blocked by Balboa. Balboa shoots in but Mandela avoids the takedown attempt easily. Mandela tries to land a front kick but Balboa steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mandela tries to clinch up but Balboa circles away and keeps his distance. Balboa moves into the clinch. Balboa avoiding damage.
Balboa is defending well against a takedown attempt. Balboa is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mandela pulls him back up using the underhooks. Balboa is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Mandela misses with a punch on the inside.

Mandela manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Mandela is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balboa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mandela is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Balboa, into his guard. Balboa controls Mandela momentarily but Mandela frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mandela postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Balboa wants to stand up but Mandela is controlling him. Mandela preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mandela not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Mandela stands up from Balboa's guard - Mandela perhaps looking for a knockout. Balboa moves in looking to clinch but Mandela pushes him off. Balboa shoots for a takedown but Mandela saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mandela fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mandela shoots in for a double leg but Balboa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Balboa throws a head kick but Mandela moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Balboa has a takedown stuffed. Balboa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Mandela shoots for a takedown but Balboa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mandela looks winded! Mandela shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Balboa but Balboa pushes him off and we're back to square one. Balboa darts in and clinches Mandela up against the cage. Balboa is trying to maintain a safe position but Mandela gets an underhook and turns Balboa into the cage. Balboa is working for takedown but Mandela is calmly controlling the position for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mandela fails to pull the fight into his guard.

This has been an exciting period of action! Balboa wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rocky Balboa will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Balboa is defended easily by Mandela. Mandela fails in his attempt to clinch. No luck with that takedown attempt from Balboa. Mandela feints a jab promting Balboa to slip. Mandela then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Balboa slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Rocky Balboa has been cut. Mandela has closed the distance and engaged Balboa in a clinch.
Balboa wants to take the fight to the mat but Mandela manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rocky Balboa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mandela jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Balboa walks away with a smile on his face. Mandela gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Mandela clinches up with Balboa and pushes him back against the cage. Balboa avoids a wild elbow strike from Mandela.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mandela escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mandela gets a clinch. Balboa has had enough of the clinch but Mandela keeps him there for the moment. Mandela changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Balboa fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Balboa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Winnie Mandela seems to be getting the better of the standup. Mandela misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mandela forces Balboa back against the cage and clinches. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Mandela prevents a takedown attempt there.

Balboa no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Mandela postures up in Balboa's guard and throws a big left but Balboa blocks it. Mandela takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Mandela has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Balboa is looking for a sweep. Mandela is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mandela stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Horrible takedown by Mandela or perhaps it was just good defense by Balboa which made him look bad. Mandela defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Balboa. Balboa closes the distance and clinches up with Mandela, looking for a takedown. Balboa pushes Mandela against the cage but Mandela circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mandela closes the distance and clinches.

Balboa is looking to break free of the clinch but Mandela has double underhooks. Mandela tries to score a body lock takedown but Balboa shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Mandela takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mandela tries to stall but Balboa uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Balboa changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mandela fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Balboa tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mandela defends well and Balboa ends up having to push Mandela into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Balboa gets underhooks to prevent Mandela's takedown attempt.

Balboa is trying to break the clinch but Mandela has him pressed against the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Balboa tries to score a body lock takedown but Mandela shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Mandela leaning his opponent against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Balboa is trying to drag Mandela to the mat but Mandela just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Winnie Mandela. I think Mandela has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
