Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Moritz HANZ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Parlow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Moritz HANZ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Parlow!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parlow fails with the takedown.
HANZ keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Chris Parlow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

HANZ scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Parlow wants to control but HANZ is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Parlow is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but HANZ pulls his head out easily.
HANZ is looking to take a break and control but Parlow is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Parlow has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. HANZ is working away from the top position though.

HANZ is working for a guillotine from mount but Parlow frees his head quite easily.

HANZ has control of Parlow's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Parlow regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Parlow tries to reverse the position but HANZ maintains control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

HANZ is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Parlow can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
HANZ avoids the attempt from Parlow to control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Parlow wants to hold on but HANZ pushes him away.

Parlow is just holding on here. HANZ manages to take his back.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - HANZ's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parlow rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Parlow gets caught flat footed, as HANZ shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Parlow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so HANZ counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Parlow working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because HANZ has passed into half guard!
Parlow is trying to get back to full guard.
HANZ slows the pace down in half guard.
Parlow is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of HANZ's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take HANZ's back!

HANZ is trying to stand back up.
Well, with Parlow on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before HANZ is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Parlow keeps control of the position as HANZ tries to break free.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
HANZ tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Parlow goes for an armbar but he's not got it… HANZ turns into him and now he's in Parlow's guard.
Parlow can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as HANZ controls the pace.

Parlow throws his legs up looking for a submission but HANZ uses it to pass to side control.

HANZ tries for a kimura but Parlow is defending well.
HANZ tries to advance to mount but can't.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Parlow manages to get back to half guard.

Parlow actively working from the bottom here.
Parlow on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Parlow tries to regain full guard. Instead though, HANZ has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Parlow is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moritz HANZ dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



HANZ shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Parlow's guard.
Parlow is looking to sweep but instead, HANZ has passed into half guard.
HANZ tries to pass the half guard into mount. Parlow knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Parlow wants to improve his position but HANZ is controlling well.
Parlow is refusing to be controlled, as HANZ sits in half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Parlow trying to control but HANZ postures up.

Parlow is looking for a sweep. HANZ is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Parlow trying to control from the bottom.
Parlow wants to get back to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Parlow fails with the takedown

and HANZ counters with a single leg into guard. Parlow didn't expect that.
HANZ passes Parlow's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
HANZ passes to full mount!

Parlow wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Parlow covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parlow staying busy and making it hard for HANZ to control.
Parlow trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Parlow is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Parlow trying to control the action but HANZ just sinks the hooks in.

HANZ is trying to stick to Parlow's back but Parlow is turning into HANZ. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in HANZ's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Parlow.
Parlow tries to free his leg and advance position but HANZ is retaining full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
HANZ lets loose with a powerful body kick. Parlow will feel that in the morning.
Parlow gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and HANZ counters with a takedown into side control.
Parlow wants to control but HANZ postures up.

HANZ tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Parlow is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
HANZ is just content to waste time from the top position. Parlow takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Parlow looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
HANZ trying to control but Parlow is working from the bottom.
Chris Parlow has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Moritz HANZ showed his dominance in that final round.
Well HANZ has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
