Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Al Lepine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Sachel! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sachel tries to clinch there but Lepine circles away.
Sachel swats away the attempt to clinch by Lepine. Sachel shoots for a takedown but Lepine saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lepine moves into the clinch. Lepine looking to throw knees to the head but Sachel is blocking nicely.
The is referee keeping an eye on Lepine - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Lepine lands a body punch in the clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Lepine as Sachel tries to tie him up. Lepine breaks the clinch.
Sachel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sachel has a takedown stuffed. Al Lepine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Sachel. Sachel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lepine but Lepine pushes him off and we're back to square one. Lepine tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sachel fails with a takedown attempt. Sachel will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sachel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lepine is fending him off so far but Sachel persists. Nope, Lepine circles away and we're back to standing. Sachel looks gassed! Sachel shoots in and drives through. Lepine sprawls well. Lepine fails in his attempt to clinch. A head kick misses from Lepine. Lepine tries to close the distance and clinch but Sachel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lepine wants to clinch. Lepine is looking to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lepine has Sachel up against the cage in a clinch.

It looks like Jason Sachel has been cut. Lepine scores with a knee to the head.
Lepine lands a knee to the head.
Lepine tries a knee to the head but Sachel blocks it.
Sachel's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Lepine lands a big knee to the head and Sachel goes down! Lepine is looking to finish!
Sachel is rocked! Lepine stands up. Sachel is still on wobbly legs! Can Lepine finish him? A big right followed by a crushing left from Lepine knocks Sachel out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Al Lepine!
