Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and J R Crain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnett comes to the cage accompanied by Don't You Worry Child by Swedish House Mafia. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Barnett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, J R Crain! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crain darts in and clinches Barnett up against the cage. Barnett is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Barnett has Crain pushed against the cage. Barnett wants to take the fight to the mat but Crain manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Crain has a couple of punches blocked by Barnett.
Crain manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Crain is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Barnett is aware though and is defending well. Barnett being controlled here momentarily. Barnett trying to control the position from guard on top but Crain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Barnett's corner is telling him to maintain position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barnett pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Crain is keeping the position for now. Barnett throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crain wants to sweep here but Barnett controlling him for the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Frank Barnett wasn't doing enough on the ground. Barnett shoots and misses and Crain counters with a head kick. That will keep Barnett thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Barnett. That's going to take a lot out of him. Crain has closed the distance and engaged Barnett in a clinch.

Crain is trying to drag Barnett to the mat but Barnett just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. The referee calls for Crain to work.
Barnett changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Crain fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Barnett misses and Crain counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Barnett thinking. Barnett looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Crain moves into the clinch. Crain decides to pull guard. Crain is trying to keep Barnett in close.
Barnett is fighting to break Crain's control of his arms but Crain is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Barnett preventing the sweep. Barnett has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Crain looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Barnett has picked Crain up and slammed him! Crain can't keep hold of the triangle and Barnett manages to pass to side control! Crain manages to work his way to half guard, despite Barnett's best efforts. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barnett is trying to control the action in half guard but Crain is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crain tries to get to full guard but Barnett has control of the leg. Crain felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Crain looking for submissions off his back. Barnett not landing any meaningful shots this time. Crain trying to control but Barnett postures up.
Crain wants to get back to full guard. Barnett is thwarting Crain's attempts to control the position. Barnett knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Crain on the ground. Crain is looking for a sweep. Barnett is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Barnett trying to control from half guard but Crain is working away. Barnett tries to pass to full mount but Crain defends it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Barnett is looking to clinch. Crain scores with a kick to the midsection. Barnett gets tackled into the cage by Crain. Crain maintains the clinch. Barnett jumps guard but Crain turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Barnett is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Crain gets underhooks to prevent Barnett's takedown attempt.
Barnett is breathing heavily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Barnett fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

J R Crain dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Crain takes the fight into the clinch. Barnett lands a hook that snaps the head of Crain backwards. Barnett leaning his opponent against the cage. Barnett tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Crain just stands there and leans against the cage. Barnett jumps guard but Crain stands there with Barnett around his waist. Barnett gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Crain stalling in the clinch but Barnett improves position. Barnett has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Crain is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Crain lands a shoulder strike. Barnett jumps guard but Crain turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnett is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Crain pulls him back up using the underhooks. Barnett tries for a takedown. No joy.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Crain avoiding damage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Crain. Barnett gets through Crain's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Crain tries for a takedown. No joy.

A short uppercut from Crain. Barnett looking for a takedown. Barnett letting Crain take a breather here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Barnett's face as he tries to break the clinch. Crain drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Crain breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Crain shoots in for a takedown but Barnett shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Crain gets caught flat footed, as Barnett shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barnett wants to control from the top but Crain keeps moving. Crain is looking to stand up but Barnett isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnett got a little sloppy there for a moment and Crain has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Barnett has managed to get both his arms back between Crain's legs - danger averted. Crain looking to control.
Barnett is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Crain has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Barnett is looking to defend but Crain has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Barnett! Crain pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Barnett taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). J R Crain! After winning the bout, J R Crain thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. The defeated Frank Barnett had this to say: 'I'll try again and train harder than before! I'll come back even better next time! '.
