Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Katurian Tupolski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Point Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tupolski comes to the cage accompanied by Mobb Deep - Shook Ones. On his way into the cage it seems that Katurian Tupolski has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Katurian Tupolski seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tupolski rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fighter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tupolski with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fighter to score with a decent uppercut.
Tupolski misses with a combination
and Fighter counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Tupolski!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Fighter wants to control but Tupolski is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fighter postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Fighter working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Fighter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fighter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fighter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tupolski keeps working.

The ground and pound from Fighter seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Fighter goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Tupolski has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fighter but great work by Tupolski.

Fighter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tupolski's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tupolski's back!
Fighter is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Tupolski has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Fighter is throwing shots to the body but Tupolski manages to wriggle free. Fighter pounces on him again and ends up in Tupolski's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fighter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tupolski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Tupolski's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Tupolski tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fighter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Fighter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Tupolski scores with a one two! Fighter had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Point Fighter has been cut.
We've been told by Tupolski's head coaches at Merican Ninjas! that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Tupolski throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fighter sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
