Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dmitri Salnik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rickie Lambert!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salnik drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Lambert is trying to control Salnik's posture but Salnik avoids it.
Salnik is putting a hurting on Lambert here, landing some big shots from side control.
Salnik is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lambert has escaped the position, nice work there.
Salnik connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lambert some visible discomfort.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lambert managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Salnik.
Lambert takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Salnik throws an elbow but Lambert slips to the side and avoids it well.
Lambert takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Salnik tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Salnik tries for a kimura but Lambert is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Salnik tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Salnik has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Salnik scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Lambert to see if he's OK.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Lambert is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Salnik has an Americana. Lambert didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Salnik is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Salnik hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

A less than humble Dmitri Salnik misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
