Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Maciej Jewtuszko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Rodriguez ! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodriguez takes the fight into the clinch. Rodriguez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rodriguez closes the distance and clinches. Rodriguez gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jewtuszko.
Rodriguez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jewtuszko slaps away a takedown attempt from Rodriguez , before circling back to the center of the mat. Rodriguez shoots for a takedown but Jewtuszko saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sloppy strikes from Rodriguez . Those never looked like landing. OK we're going to have a standup here. Samuel Rodriguez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Rodriguez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jewtuszko swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rodriguez tries a head kick but it misses.
Rodriguez fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jewtuszko tries to keep at a distance but Rodriguez has taken the fight into the clinch. Rodriguez jumps into guard, dragging Jewtuszko to the mat.

Jewtuszko has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jewtuszko wants to stand but Rodriguez has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Rodriguez working for a triangle but Jewtuszko defends it easily.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Rodriguez . Samuel Rodriguez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rodriguez fails in his attempt to clinch. Rodriguez closes the distance and clinches up with Jewtuszko, looking for a takedown. Rodriguez pushes Jewtuszko against the cage but Jewtuszko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jewtuszko blocks a low kick nicely. Rodriguez pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Rodriguez wants to clinch up but Jewtuszko keeps it at a distance. Rodriguez shoots in but Jewtuszko avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jewtuszko checks a leg kick nicely. Some wild striking there from Rodriguez .

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown but Jewtuszko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Rodriguez just misses with a punch to the body.
Maciej Jewtuszko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rodriguez fails with the takedown and Jewtuszko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Rodriguez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jewtuszko sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rodriguez somewhat. The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jewtuszko drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rodriguez pulls his leg out and moves away.

Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown but Jewtuszko shows good takedown defense. Rodriguez clinches up against the cage. Rodriguez 's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jewtuszko has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Jewtuszko is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Rodriguez lands a takedown into guard.
Jewtuszko wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Rodriguez manages to pass to side control. Rodriguez seems to be working for a kimura but Jewtuszko defends the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Samuel Rodriguez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Rodriguez misses with a takedown attempt - Jewtuszko sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rodriguez moves into the clinch successfully.
A frustrated look appears on Jewtuszko's face as he tries to break the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rodriguez fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Jewtuszko stuffs the takedown attempt from Rodriguez . Rodriguez gets slowly back to his feet. Rodriguez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rodriguez darts in looking for a takedown but Jewtuszko gets double underhooks and turns Rodriguez into the cage. Rodriguez jumps guard.
Jewtuszko wants to stand and escape but instead Rodriguez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Rodriguez trying to control but Jewtuszko is working from the bottom. Rodriguez tries to free his leg and advance position but Jewtuszko is retaining full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Samuel Rodriguez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rodriguez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
