Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buretta Gali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fuzzy Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fuzzy Khan acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Buretta Gali!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fuzzy Khan!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gali throws a lazy right hand but Khan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Khan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gali swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Khan gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gali is trying to break the clinch but Khan has him pressed against the cage.
Gali wants to break free but Khan has control.
Nice elbow from Khan.
Gali tries to break the clinch but Khan is controlling the position.
Khan slowing the pace effectively.
Gali blocks a body shot from Khan.
Khan is struggling to control the position.

Gali is fighting off a takedown attempt but Khan is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gali to the mat. Gali regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Gali pulls Khan in close to prevent any damage.
Khan forces his way into half guard.
Khan keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Khan is trying to control the action in half guard but Gali is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Fuzzy Khan.

Nice defenses there by Khan.
Gali misses with a lunging right hand
and Khan counters with a flying knee. Nice.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gali misses with a hook. Khan ducked under it nicely.
Khan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Khan lands a big head kick that sends Gali tumbling to the mat! Khan takes a step backwards and waves Gali back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Gali is rocked!
Gali throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Oh Gali is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Khan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gali.

Khan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Gali seems to have got his legs back now.
Khan tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Khan utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.

Khan drops Gali with a big knee straight up the middle! Gali is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!


It looks like Buretta Gali has been cut.
Gali missing with a left hand there. Khan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Khan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Khan using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Gali has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Gali wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Gali can't break the clinch.
Gali blocks an elbow strike from Khan.
The referee is keeping an eye on Khan - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Khan takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Khan lands a good knee to the midsection. Gali won't want to take too many of those.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Gali avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Khan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gali just stands there and leans against the cage.

Gali looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Come on Khan - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Khan lands an elbow inside that Gali shrugs off.
Khan throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Khan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Khan will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Gali up against the cage.

Fuzzy Khan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fuzzy Khan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Khan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
