Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy London! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keijo Kovis! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! London feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kovis wants to stand up but London is controlling him. London slips nicely into half guard. London stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Kovis to get to his feet. Kovis throws a quick inside leg kick. Kovis moves in looking to clinch but London pushes him off. Kovis with a poor takedown and London counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by London. London stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kovis swivels though and keeps the full guard. London advances position into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kovis wants to get back to his feet but London drags him back down. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! London looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. London trying to control the position but Kovis is working away. London thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. London fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. London looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kovis is avoiding damage well.

Kovis struggling a bit here. London tries for a kimura but Kovis is defending well. London is breathing heavily. London has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kovis is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. London yanks on the arm and Kovis is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by London.
