Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Hollander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaius Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hollander gets the takedown into side control. Hollander tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Marshall tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marshall manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Hollander is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Marshall manages to get to full guard.
Hollander is looking to stand up but Marshall won't let him. Marshall manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hollander manages to get himself to full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hollander is looking to stand up but Marshall isn't so interested in that idea. Hollander trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marshall is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hollander wants to stand and escape but Marshall is having none of it. Hollander knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marshall on the ground. Marshall drops back looking for a leg! Hollander is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hollander manages to kick Marshall off! Marshall jumps back into Hollander's guard. Marshall passes Hollander's left leg - he's now in half guard. Hollander on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hollander tries to get out of the position. Marshall prevents Hollander from standing back up.
Marshall is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hollander is just riding it out for now. Marshall eventually gives up the hold.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marshall wants to free his trapped foot but Hollander is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hollander is trying to stand up here but Marshall is controlling him well. Marshall is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Marshall wants to pass to mount but Hollander is defending the position. Marshall in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Hollander tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Marshall!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Gaius Marshall! Gaius Marshall tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
