Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between DeAndre Louis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Liddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Louis comes into the arena with All I Do Is Win blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, DeAndre Louis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chuck Liddel!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddel throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Louis checks a low kick from Liddel.
Chuck Liddel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Liddel misses with a kick to the body

and Louis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Liddel utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Louis not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Louis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Liddel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Liddel wants it to stay on the feet.

and Louis counters with a one-two to the body.
Liddel is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Louis.

Louis feints and then cracks Liddel's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Liddel down.

Louis closes the distance and clinches up with Liddel, looking for a takedown. Louis pushes Liddel against the cage but Liddel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Louis counters with a left and a right that stings Liddel.
Liddel closes the distance and clinches up with Louis, looking for a takedown. Liddel pushes Louis against the cage but Louis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Louis counters with a two punch combo.
Liddel throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Louis counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Louis tries to close the distance and clinch but Liddel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Louis breaks the clinch.
Louis explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Liddel throws a body kick that misses
and Louis counters with a good, hard body kick but Liddel shrugs it off.
DeAndre Louis is winning the standup battle so far.
The fight stays on the outside here - Louis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Louis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Liddel goes for a double leg but Louis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Louis continues to drive forward.
Liddel drops down looking for an ankle pick but Louis pulls his leg out and moves away.

Liddel ducks right into an uppercut from Louis.

Louis has Liddel pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Louis pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Liddel tumbling to the mat - Louis dives into Liddel's guard.
Louis postures up in Liddel's guard and throws a big left but Liddel blocks it.

Louis wants to control from the top but Liddel keeps moving.
Louis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Louis is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Liddel is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Liddel shoots for a double leg takedown but Louis sprawls well. He's pushed Liddel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
DeAndre Louis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck Liddel.
Louis darts in looking for a takedown but Liddel gets double underhooks and turns Louis into the cage.

It looks like DeAndre Louis has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Louis wants to control but Liddel is having none of it.
Louis manages to regain half guard. Good work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
