These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakkara throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kothciushco counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Sakkara definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kothciushco swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Kothciushco counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Kothciushco throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sakkara stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Kothciushco counters with a stiff right hand.
Kothciushco lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Sakkara lands with a good body shot.

Kothciushco has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kothciushco there as he acknowledges the shot.

Sakkara lands a glancing blow to the side of Kothciushco's head.

Sakkara cracks Kothciushco with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Kothciushco falls to his knees and Sakkara doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Marcus Sakkara thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
