Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johannes Skaft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Coholic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johannes Skaft! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Al Coholic! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skaft moves away from the strike by Coholic. Skaft throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Coholic shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Skaft as he avoids it easily. Coholic shoots in for a takedown but Skaft shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. No joy there for Skaft, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Skaft slaps away a takedown attempt from Coholic, before circling back to the center of the mat. Johannes Skaft has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al Coholic. Coholic closes the distance but Skaft moves to the side and Skaft counters with a series of strikes. Coholic will be more careful next time no doubt. This has been an exciting period of action! Skaft drops Coholic with a left right combo! Skaft follows him down to the ground into side control.
It looks like Al Coholic has been cut. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Coholic is trying to get back to half guard. Skaft wants to stand but Coholic is controlling his arm. Skaft working away. Skaft wants to stand but Coholic has his arm trapped. Skaft decides to stand up, so the ref orders Coholic to his feet. Coholic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Skaft tries to avoid it but Coholic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Skaft to the ground. Skaft escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skaft throws a wild body kick that Coholic sees coming a mile off. Skaft throws a right hand that Coholic ducks under and follows up with a left that Coholic also avoids with ease. Coholic fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Coholic misses with a takedown attempt - Skaft sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Johannes Skaft seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Coholic throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Skaft pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Skaft clinches. Skaft lands a left hand.
Coholic fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Skaft misses with a short punch on the inside. Skaft misses with a short punch on the inside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head punch on the inside from Skaft fails to land. Skaft lands a right hand that snaps the head of Coholic backwards. Coholic is looking to take this one to the mat. Skaft lands with a short head shot on the inside. Skaft fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Coholic wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Skaft has him pressed against the cage. Coholic wants to get back to striking at distance but Skaft won't allow it.
Skaft lands with a short shot to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Coholic blocking some punches.
Skaft misses with the head strike.
Skaft working some nice short punches in the clinch. Coholic decides to pull guard. Skaft might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Skaft has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Coholic is proving hard to escape from. Coholic looking to control.
Coholic looking for a triangle here. Skaft is fighting it but it looks tight! Coholic pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Skaft is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Al Coholic! Al Coholic opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
