Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joey Corato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corato tries to clinch
and Wiatrzyk moves into the clinch.
Corato throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Wiatrzyk blocks it with crossed arms.
Corato tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Corato lands a nice shot to the body.
Wiatrzyk is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Corato swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Corato.
Corato tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Corato with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Wiatrzyk tries for a takedown. No joy.
Wiatrzyk gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Corato looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Wiatrzyk controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mack Wiatrzyk.
Corato stuns Wiatrzyk with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Wiatrzyk shoots in but Corato avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Joey Corato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mack Wiatrzyk.

Wiatrzyk should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Wiatrzyk jumps guard but Corato turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Corato looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Wiatrzyk takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Wiatrzyk is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Corato defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wiatrzyk passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Corato!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Corato has given up his back here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mack Wiatrzyk will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Wiatrzyk shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Corato sprawls well. Corato wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wiatrzyk gets slowly back to his feet.

Wiatrzyk has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Corato is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Corato using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Wiatrzyk has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Corato swings wildly with an uppercut but Wiatrzyk uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wiatrzyk blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Wiatrzyk wants to break free but Corato has control.
Wiatrzyk has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Corato regains guard immediately.
Wiatrzyk is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Corato looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wiatrzyk passes into side control.
Wiatrzyk just content to control the position.
Corato can't do much from the bottom here.

Wiatrzyk slows the pace down.
Corato sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Wiatrzyk tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Wiatrzyk seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Wiatrzyk content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Let's hope that Wiatrzyk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mack Wiatrzyk.
Corato tries to clinch there but Wiatrzyk circles away.
Wiatrzyk moves into the clinch successfully.
Wiatrzyk goes for a takedown in the clinch but Corato prevents it.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Corato creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Corato has a couple of punches blocked by Wiatrzyk.

Wiatrzyk has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Corato after a bit of a struggle.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wiatrzyk can do anything to dispel that myth.

Corato loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Mack Wiatrzyk has got the better of the ground game so far.

Corato postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wiatrzyk is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Corato, into his guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wiatrzyk scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Corato is looking for a triangle but Wiatrzyk pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Wiatrzyk controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Mack Wiatrzyk has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Wiatrzyk changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Corato looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wiatrzyk is chipping away with strikes.
The referee asks Wiatrzyk politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Wiatrzyk prefers to stall for the moment though.
Wiatrzyk tries to move into full mount but can't pass Corato's legs.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mack Wiatrzyk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
