7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Randolph Turpin! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stirling lands with an overhand left. Stirling swats away the attempt to clinch by Turpin. Turpin looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Stirling takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Turpin lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Stirling lands with a good body shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Stirling. Turpin does a little dance to reset his feet. We've been informed that Turpin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Turpin throws a nice inside leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. That kick from Turpin tenderised Stirling's leg. Stirling is trying to keep his angry face on. Stirling throws a lazy head kick and Turpin counters with an outside leg kick.
Stirling is breathing heavily. Turpin rushes Stirling and presses him up against the cage. Stirling avoiding damage as Turpin throws knees to the body.

Stirling blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Stirling on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Stirling throws a head punch that misses. Stirling pushes off an throws an elbow but Turpin leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Stirling has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. A head punch on the inside from Stirling fails to land. Turpin managing to block the knees to the body from Stirling.

Turpin takes an elbow to the forehead. Turpin stalls. Turpin lands a body shot. Turpin blocking some punches.

Stirling is rocked! Turpin is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Turpin's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Stirling pushes off an throws an elbow but Turpin leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Stirling tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Stirling misses with an elbow strike.

Stirling misses with a hook from the clinch. Turpin tries to throw a body punch but Stirling avoids it by throwing Turpin back against the cage. Turpin tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Turpin is looking to land a big knee to finish this one. He's got control of the head and as Stirling tries to break Turpin's hands from around his neck, Turpin unloads with that fight ending knee, right up the middle! Oh man, that was nasty! Stirling will need to get back to the training room and learn how to defend against the thai clinch! Oooh, his nose is a mess. Hopefully it's not broken.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Randolph Turpin! In his post fight interview, Randolph Turpin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
