Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregory Scarpa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marty Eriksen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gregory Scarpa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marty Eriksen! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eriksen instigates a clinch. Scarpa decides to pull guard. Eriksen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Eriksen trying to stand up but can't free himself from Scarpa's guard. Scarpa looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Eriksen slips nicely into half guard. Scarpa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Eriksen pulls his head out easily. Eriksen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scarpa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Eriksen is trying to control. Scarpa wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Scarpa tries to get to full guard but Eriksen has control of the leg. Scarpa gets full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scarpa is looking for a triangle but Eriksen pushes his legs off easily.
Eriksen stays in close to Scarpa's body and controls the position. It looks like Eriksen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Eriksen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Scarpa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Eriksen has managed to get both his arms back between Scarpa's legs - danger averted. Eriksen tries to stand but Scarpa is controlling from the bottom. Eriksen with a flurry of punches that miss. Scarpa has his foot on Eriksen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Eriksen works his way back into a safe position though. Eriksen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Scarpa is keeping the position for now. Scarpa could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Scarpa looking for a guillotine here but Eriksen defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scarpa looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Eriksen preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Scarpa looking for a triangle here. Eriksen is fighting it but it looks tight! Scarpa pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Eriksen is tapping out - this one is all over!
