Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinicius Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel StPatrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
StPatrick tries to clinch but Ribeiro moves out of range.

StPatrick closes the distance and pushes Ribeiro back into the cage.
StPatrick drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ribeiro pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ribeiro circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ribeiro displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from StPatrick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from StPatrick.
Vinicius Ribeiro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel StPatrick.
Ribeiro darts in looking for a takedown but StPatrick gets double underhooks and turns Ribeiro into the cage.
StPatrick is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Ribeiro prevents a takedown attempt there.
StPatrick has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ribeiro avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

StPatrick jumps into guard, dragging Ribeiro to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ribeiro wants to get up but he can't break StPatrick's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
StPatrick controls Ribeiro momentarily but Ribeiro frees himself.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Samuel StPatrick hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Ribeiro drops StPatrick with a beautiful combination! StPatrick stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ribeiro is looking for the KO!

StPatrick is rocked!

It looks like Samuel StPatrick has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
StPatrick tries for a takedown but Ribeiro circles away easily
and Ribeiro rattles StPatrick with a well-timed uppercut counter. - StPatrick tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Ribeiro dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving StPatrick stiff and motionless on the mat!
