Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Meadowlark Lemon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Lagk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Meadowlark Lemon has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lagk shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lagk showed some decent athleticism there.

Lagk postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Lemon to stand up.
Lagk circles away from the clinch attempt

and Lagk counters with a shoot takedown. Lemon fights it but they end up in guard.
Lagk trying to control but Lemon is working from the bottom.
Lagk pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lemon is keeping the position for now.
Lagk is stalling in the full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lemon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Nick Lagk.
Lagk throws a front kick aimed at Lemon's knee but Lemon avoids it well.

Lemon throws a sloppy head kick and Lagk moves out of range easily.
Lemon attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Lagk will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lemon tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Lagk moves into the clinch.

Lagk gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Lagk lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Lagk told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Lemon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lemon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lagk controls the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lemon tries to bum rush Lagk with a series of wild strikes but Lagk uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lagk tries a head kick but it misses.
Lagk lands a jab.
Lemon tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Lagk counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Lemon is looking to control Lagk's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lemon avoid being mounted?
Lemon wants to get back to full guard but Lagk has passed into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Lagk working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lagk stands up.
Lemon is looking to clinch.
Lemon tries to clinch there but Lagk circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lemon is trying to stand up here but Lagk is controlling him well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lagk connects with a nice short shot to Lemon's temple.
Lagk not doing much here.
Lemon is pressing down on Lagk's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Lagk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lemon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lagk with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lagk's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Lemon is rocked!
Lagk postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Lemon covers up, he's hurt! Lagk keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Lagk and the ref steps in to end the fight! Lagk can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
