Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Dylan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Dylan! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pedro Rua! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Rua keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dylan fails with the takedown and Rua counters with a nice double leg into guard. Dylan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dylan looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Rua puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Dylan is looking to improve his position.
Dylan has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

We're going to have a standup here because Daniel Dylan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Dylan shoots in and gets a takedown into Rua's guard.

Dylan wants to sweep but no luck. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rua trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dylan's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Dylan wants to sweep here but Rua controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rua has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Dylan after a bit of a struggle. Dylan lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. That's four minutes gone in the round. Dylan closes the distance and clinches up with Rua, looking for a takedown. Dylan pushes Rua against the cage but Rua circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Dylan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rua avoids it really well and circles away. Daniel Dylan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dylan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rua defends it nicely. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Dylan. Well Dylan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Daniel Dylan! Daniel Dylan retains his lightweight title! A very excited looking Daniel Dylan rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
