Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cu IV (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Suez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cu IV! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rafael Suez! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! IV closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. IV slips a jab from Suez. IV is looking to clinch but Suez is avoiding it.
A low kick from IV misses and Suez counters with a nice low kick that buckles IV's knee momentarily. IV drives through and clinches with Suez against the cage.
IV lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Suez or not. Suez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables IV to keep the fight standing. IV works on Suez's body with a couple of short punches. IV turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and IV manages to end up in side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Suez wants to control but IV postures up. An elbow from IV crashes against the mat.

IV goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Suez has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for IV but great work by Suez.
That's one minute gone in the round. IV manages to get back to half guard. Suez throwing shots but IV is blocking nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. IV is looking for a sweep. Suez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. IV manages to escape and get back to his feet! IV connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Suez's hands. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Suez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and IV has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from IV and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. IV closes this distance looking for a takedown but Suez circles away. IV tries to land a front kick but Suez steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. IV fails with an attempt to clinch.
Suez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from IV. Suez tries to sprawl but IV drives through with a takedown into half guard. We've been hearing that IV has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. IV missing with the ground and pound from half guard. IV lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. IV is just content to waste time from the top position. Suez takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. IV advances position into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Suez is looking to regain half guard here but IV keeps moving and retains side control. IV with the ground and pound but Suez regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Suez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. IV is working away from the top position though.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. IV is looking to stand up but Suez won't let him.
