Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Gathmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Guzman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Gathmann is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Guzman!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guzman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Gathmann counters with a single leg into guard. Guzman didn't expect that.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Gathmann stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Guzman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gathmann controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Gathmann's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Gathmann passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Guzman regains half guard there - taking advantage of Gathmann's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guzman wants to improve his position but Gathmann is controlling well.
Guzman is pressing down on Gathmann's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Gathmann looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Guzman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Guzman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gathmann doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Guzman.

Guzman maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Gathmann could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Guzman has cracked it and Gathmann is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Guzman!

In his post fight interview, Mike Guzman started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
