Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aiden McIlvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and RC King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aiden McIlvey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, RC King! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King moves out of range of the leg kick from McIlvey. King misses with a takedown and McIlvey counters with an inside leg kick. King shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McIlvey sprawls well. McIlvey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. King gets slowly back to his feet. King has a takedown stuffed. Aiden McIlvey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of RC King. McIlvey manages to get an easy takedown there - catching King on his heels. He'll look to pass King's guard now, I'm sure. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. King has his hands on McIlvey's head, controlling the position. McIlvey wants to control from the top but King keeps moving. King is trying to keep McIlvey in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Aiden McIlvey. King shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McIlvey as he jumps to the side. King closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McIlvey to the mat! McIlvey manages to get full guard. King avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McIlvey is pulling down on King's head to control his posture. McIlvey is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. King drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and King jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McIlvey has his hands on King's head, controlling the position. King drops back looking for a leg! McIlvey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McIlvey manages to kick King off! King jumps back into McIlvey's guard. McIlvey looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. McIlvey controls King momentarily but King frees himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McIlvey pulls King in close to prevent any damage. McIlvey has his foot on King's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. King works his way back into a safe position though. King must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. King postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McIlvey is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of King, into his guard. McIlvey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. King is trying to keep McIlvey in close.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as King holds on and takes a little breather. McIlvey forces his way into half guard. King keeping hold of McIlvey's head, controlling as best he can. King is defending against the submission attempts here by McIlvey.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. King trying to control but McIlvey postures up.
McIlvey is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aiden McIlvey dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
King throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McIlvey's waist but McIlvey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing King off to one side. King looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. King tries for a takedown but McIlvey circles away easily and McIlvey counters with an outside leg kick.
Aiden McIlvey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of RC King. McIlvey throws a body punch but King moves out of range. King tries to score a power double leg takedown but McIlvey sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten King somewhat. A combination from McIlvey does no damage. King shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. King with a lazy takedown attempt and McIlvey makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Nice sprawl there from McIlvey as King shoots in. McIlvey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! King wants to control but McIlvey postures up. King being controlled for a moment. McIlvey creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. King is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. McIlvey wants to control but King is keeping him busy. McIlvey has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for King! McIlvey lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. King tries to hold on but McIlvey pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McIlvey landing strikes from the mount. King wants to control but McIlvey is having none of it. McIlvey controlling the pace for now. McIlvey can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as King is looking to escape. McIlvey controlling the position easily from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McIlvey raining down hammerfists from mount. This has been an exciting period of action! King is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. McIlvey looking to control and managing it successfully. King tries to hold on but McIlvey pushes him away. McIlvey lands a couple of good shots and King has given up his back, trying to escape the position! The crowd hopeful of a finish here - McIlvey's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
King trying to control the position but McIlvey manages to sink in the hooks. McIlvey really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for King.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. I would not like to be King right now.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. McIlvey wants to control but King is keeping busy. McIlvey slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

King just trying to survive but McIlvey is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. McIlvey lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. McIlvey missing with strikes from the back. King looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McIlvey stuffs the takedown attempt from King. King gets slowly back to his feet. The fight moves into the clinch position.

McIlvey scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. King wants to control but McIlvey postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McIlvey tries to stand but King is controlling his head. McIlvey is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. McIlvey scoring with punches and elbows. McIlvey trying to control the action but King is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McIlvey has knee on belly and moves into mount. BOOM! McIlvey connects with a massive shot to the dome!
King wants to hold on but McIlvey pushes him away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McIlvey can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as King is looking to escape. McIlvey controlling his opponent. McIlvey's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. King tries to hold on but McIlvey postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. King tries to lock up and control but McIlvey gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. McIlvey trying to control but King is having none of it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if King can do anything to dispel that myth. The referee warns King that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! King is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. McIlvey landing shots from mount. McIlvey trying to control but he's not successful this time. King tries to hold on but McIlvey postures up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McIlvey trying to control but he's not successful this time. McIlvey landing strikes from the mount and King is in trouble! RC King has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Aiden McIlvey is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. McIlvey with good strikes from the mount here!
And that's the end of the fight! Aiden McIlvey showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for McIlvey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
