The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Couture paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Couture scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Rose on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Rose throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Rose lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Couture at a distance.
Couture takes a swing at Rose's ribcage but misses.
Rose really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rose is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Couture goes for a double leg but Rose avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rose continues to drive forward.

Couture has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rose is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round but I would say that Derrick Rose will probably get the nod.

Couture stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rose swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Couture is looking to cinch up a triangle. Rose throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Couture's body to avoid the submission. Couture has instead reached around Rose's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Couture arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
