Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stefan Andreevski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Junior Dos Santos will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dos Santos lands a two punch combo.
Dos Santos ducks right into an uppercut from Andreevski. Andreevski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dos Santos was well out of range. Poor timing from Andreevski. Andreevski tries to close the distance and clinch but Dos Santos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A slow jab from Andreevski misses its intended target. Dos Santos dives in for a single leg takedown but Andreevski sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Andreevski is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Andreevski is working for takedown but Dos Santos is calmly controlling the position for now. Dos Santos is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Andreevski is defending well. Andreevski goes for a takedown attempt but Dos Santos pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Still in half guard, Andreevski seems content to control. Dos Santos wants to get back to full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Andreevski shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dos Santos's guard.

Andreevski defends it easily. Andreevski showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Dos Santos is looking to stand up but Andreevski isn't so interested in that idea. Dos Santos avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Andreevski. Andreevski works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Dos Santos tries to bench press Andreevski off him but Andreevski keeps the position. Andreevski creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Andreevski cracks Dos Santos with an elbow. That is naaassty. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Andreevski lands an elbow. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dos Santos is not content to let Andreevski control the position. Andreevski throws a strike aimed at the side of Dos Santos's head but Dos Santos avoids it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andreevski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dos Santos circles away quickly and effectively. Dos Santos takes a jab right on the kisser.
Dos Santos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Andreevski looks to land a left hand but Dos Santos moved out of range nicely. Horrible takedown by Andreevski or perhaps it was just good defense by Dos Santos which made him look bad. Dos Santos blocks a low kick nicely. Dos Santos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Andreevski keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Andreevski looks to land a left hand but Dos Santos moved out of range nicely. Andreevski throws a series of punches but Dos Santos moves out of range. Andreevski displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. A slow jab from Andreevski misses its intended target. Andreevski shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dos Santos sprawls well. Dos Santos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Andreevski gets slowly back to his feet. Dos Santos tries to sprawl but Andreevski drives through with a takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dos Santos wants to control the action here but instead Andreevski manages to pass to full mount! Andreevski trying to control but he's not successful this time. Dos Santos is in all sorts of trouble here.
Andreevski lands a big shot there that rocks Dos Santos but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Dos Santos is breathing heavily. Andreevski lands a couple of good shots and Dos Santos has given up his back, trying to escape the position! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A lull in the action here.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Stefan Andreevski. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Andreevski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
