The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stakanu shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kurtz defends it nicely.
Stakanu swings for the body but Kurtz moves out of range.
Stakanu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kurtz manages to avoid it.
Nice jab there from Stakanu.
It looks like Walter Kurtz has been cut.
Stakanu connects with the punch.
Stakanu cracks Kurtz with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Stakanu looks to land a left hand but Kurtz moved out of range nicely.

No joy there for Stakanu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Stakanu has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Kurtz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stakanu stalks Kurtz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kurtz's face. Kurtz staggers backwards, shaken.
Kurtz scores with a hook to the body. Stakanu takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Stakanu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kurtz.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kurtz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stakanu takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Kurtz comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kurtz scores with a jab. Stakanu acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Kurtz drops Stakanu with a naaaaasty hook - Stakanu is in real trouble here! Kurtz dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
