Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Igor Sypnewski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Ruggiero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruggiero comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bonobo - The Sicilians kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Benjamin Ruggiero!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sypnewski pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sypnewski definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Ruggiero tries a low kick but Sypnewski avoids it.
Ruggiero throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Sypnewski misses with an uppercut. Ruggiero saw that one coming.
Sypnewski chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ruggiero can pounce on him.
Nice uppercut lands for Ruggiero. That snapped Sypnewski's head back.
Ruggiero scores with a head kick.
Ruggiero uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sypnewski.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Ruggiero.
Ruggiero misses with a body kick.
Sypnewski misses with a looping right.
Jab, jab by Ruggiero - just one landing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sypnewski throws out a loose jab but Ruggiero uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ruggiero looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Ruggiero connects with the punch.
Good leg kick by Ruggiero there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ruggiero scores with a head kick. Sypnewski tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Sypnewski is rocked!
Ruggiero connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sypnewski's hands.
Oh Sypnewski is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

A decent looking body kick lands there for Ruggiero.
Ruggiero bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ruggiero with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Ruggiero drops Sypnewski with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Sypnewski! Ruggiero dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Benjamin Ruggiero!
Benjamin Ruggiero bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
