Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith clinches with his opponent.
Smith blocks a body shot from Matae.
Smith misses with a hook to the ribs.
Matae lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Matae misses with a body punch.
Smith is working for takedown but Matae is calmly controlling the position for now.
Smith has been working on his balance at MidNight, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Matae.
Smith misses with a punch on the inside.
Matae lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Smith backwards.
Matae lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Smith.
Matae lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Smith backwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Matae lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Matae tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Smith's elbow.
Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smith chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Matae can pounce on him.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Matae misses with a low kick.
Matae throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Matae pushes Smith away with a front kick.
Matae misses with a body shot
and Smith counters with a stiff right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Matae throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Matae avoids the body shot from Smith.
Matae connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smith momentarily.
It looks like Clifford Smith has been cut.
Matae takes one to the chin there.
Matae misses with a body kick.
Matae ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smith moves away.
Matae uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Smith has time to react.
Smith is rocked!
