Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Avery Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen The Climb-Mylie Cyrus as his entrance music. Avery Carter has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Avery Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Jones! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter gets a clinch. Carter tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jones throws a knee to the head but misses.
Jones is trying to break free. Jones is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Carter can't fight it off and eventually Jones manages to take the fight to the floor. Carter looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Carter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jones pushes down on Carter's leg and manages to get into half guard. Carter desperately trying to maintain half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carter tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to stand up but Carter is controlling the position.
Carter misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Carter looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Jones passes to full mount! Carter is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter tries to hold on but Jones postures up. Jones lands a big elbow. Jones lands a couple of good shots and Carter has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Carter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! Carter looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Jones just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Jones is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter trying to control the hands but Jones breaks the grip. Carter tries to roll but Jones sticks to his back.
What can Carter do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter tries to escape but Jones has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Jones lands with a hammerfist to the side of Carter's head. Jones is hanging on to Carter's back as he tries to escape.
Jones has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Carter. Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Carter is keeping busy.
Jones doesn't have the hooks in and Carter manages to turn into his guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carter working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jones keeping full guard, as Carter tries to pass. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones wants to sweep here but Carter controlling him for the moment. Carter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Jones dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jones dives in and scores a takedown into Carter's guard. Carter is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones defends well. Carter keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Carter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Carter wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Jones wants to stand but Carter has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Carter has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Jones doesn't defend quickly enough and Carter has managed to lock this one up! Can Jones escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Carter on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Avery Carter! Jon Jones spoke after the fight, saying 'I will retiring.!'.
