PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaakko Kilpinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Drwal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaakko Kilpinen is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jaakko Kilpinen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tomasz Drwal!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drwal tries to work over Kilpinen's front leg with a kick but Kilpinen checks it.
Kilpinen lands a leg kick that knocks Drwal off balance momentarily.
Kilpinen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kilpinen connects with a jab.
Kilpinen leaves Drwal with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Drwal changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kilpinen tries to avoid it but Drwal manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kilpinen to the ground. Kilpinen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kilpinen is looking to clinch.
Drwal misses the shot to the body.
Kilpinen catches Drwal with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Drwal gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Drwal throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kilpinen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kilpinen slips under a jab.
Drwal misses the shot to the body.
We've been told by Kilpinen's head coaches at Qube Striking that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kilpinen misses the shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Drwal uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kilpinen.
Drwal steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kilpinen.
Kilpinen moves into range and connects with a jab.
Jaakko Kilpinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kilpinen scores with a hook.
Drwal throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kilpinen moves forwards but Drwal connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kilpinen swinging wildly here.
Kilpinen swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Kilpinen throws a nice outside leg kick.
Kilpinen connects with a jab.
Drwal takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Drwal looks to land a left hand but Kilpinen moved out of range nicely.
Kilpinen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Drwal circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kilpinen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Drwals jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kilpinen walks into a stiff left hand from Drwal.

Drwal shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kilpinen is trying to defend but Drwal finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Drwal working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Kilpinen pushes Drwal off looking to stand but Drwal dives back in and keeps control.
Drwal looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kilpinen avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Drwal.
Drwal is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Drwal uses his free foot to push down on Kilpinen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kilpinen.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Drwal trying to control but Kilpinen is having none of it.
Drwal has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kilpinen takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Drwal raining down hammerfists from mount.
Drwal lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kilpinen hang on?
Drwal unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Kilpinen wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Drwal celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tomasz Drwal!
An out of breath and clearly excited Tomasz Drwal thanked $300 for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
