Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Moo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cedric Maake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikey Moo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Cedric Maake!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maake swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A combination from Maake does no damage.

Maake gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Moo to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Moo dives in and grabs Maake's left leg, looking for a takedown. Maake pushes down on Moo's head and hops out.

Moo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Maake gets caught flat footed, as Moo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mikey Moo just wasn't active enough.
The fighters circling - Maake throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Moo lands with a thumping leg kick.
Mikey Moo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Moo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Maake has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Maake and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Maake throws out a loose jab but Moo uses good head movement to avoid it.

Moo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Moo shoots in but no luck this time.
Good standup being displayed there by Moo as he connects with a hook.
Moo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Maake throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Moo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Moo has gone for a leg lock! Maake slips out almost immediately though and dives into Moo's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Moo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Maake works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The crowd cheers as Maake lands an impressive looking overhand right. Moo doesn't seem phased though.

Moo shoots in looking for a takedown but Maake manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Moo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Maake might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Maake takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Cedric Maake comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Maake has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A less than humble Cedric Maake misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
