Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez tries to close the distance and clinch but Morrow swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Morrow fails in his attempt to clinch.
Morrow looks to land a right hand but Gomez moved out of range.
Gomez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Morrow.
Gomez goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Jax Morrow has been cut.
Morrow thuds his right hand into Gomez's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Nice straight punches there by Gomez. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gomez.
Morrow throws a shot from downtown. Gomez moves away and avoids it.
Gomez stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Morrow swings wildly with an uppercut but Gomez uses good head movement to avoid it.

I was talking to Gomez's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Morrow throws a lazy right hand but Gomez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Morrow misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Morrow bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gomez's head.
Morrow throws the left hand but Gomez avoids the punch easily.
Gomez takes a jab right on the kisser.
Gomez catches Morrow with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Gomez throws a lazy right hand but Morrow sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Donk. Gomez catches Morrow right on the button with a cross.
Morrow is rocked!
Gomez misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Morrow to counter with a crisp jab.
Morrow is still on wobbly legs! Can Gomez finish him?

Gomez loads up on a big right hand but Morrow slips the punch.

Gomez cracks Morrow on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Morrow falls backwards against the cage. Gomez follows up with more strikes that drop Morrow to his knees. Gomez keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Morrow! This one is all over!
